Composites UK was founded as the Composites Processing Association in 1989 to represent all levels of the industry in the UK from the smallest one or two man moulder to the largest multinational companies. It will be apparent from the membership list of the association in this edition of the Directory that the association has achieved this aim. Composites UK is still growing and intends to grow for many years to come.

Composites UK includes in its membership companies and organisations from all sectors. Whilst the majority of the members are moulders or fabricators of composite items or products, we are also privileged to represent the majority of raw material suppliers and machinery and equipment suppliers, as well as many suppliers of ancillary materials and items for the industry. We also include in the membership academic institutions with an interest in composite materials science or training and a wide range of consultants. This body of companies and organisations is usually capable of supplying an answer to any question on the subject of organic matrix composites from somewhere within its own membership. The secretariat offers a free advice service to those seeking composites information whether from within the industry or without.

The Association runs conferences, workshops and seminars and technical fora on a wide range of industry related subjects.

Close contact is maintained with the world-wide composites industry through similar national and international trade organisations across the globe.

A wide range of composites technical information as well as further information on the Association and its members is available on the Association's web site www.compositesuk.org Please visit the site, which is also kept up to date on membership matters.

Composites UK Limited is the representative body of the UK composites industry and its principal mission is to promote that industry.
